For improved circulation, recovery, rehabilitation and general well-being.
The combi-floor uses whole-body vibration. When the vibrations are transmitted to the body, they cause the muscles to contract and release. Vibrations may also cause the body to produce more osteoblasts (cells that produce bone).
Vibration therapy can be used to stimulate blood circulation throughout the body and can be used to treat inflammation, speed up the healing process, reduce pain, and aid in the prevention of injury. It can also be used to promote the development of muscle tone and bone density in performance horses. As it is a standing therapy, it can easily be used to treat horses on box-rest or in rehabilitation routines.
The vibrations going through the bones mimic the micro-forces you would experience if you exercise (e.g. ground concussion). Osteocytes (bone cells) like exercise, so they do a better job of keeping the bone in good condition.
Vibration is reported to increase blood and lymphatic flow, bone density, flexibility and range of motion, muscle strength, balance and hoof growth, and reduce muscle response time, inflammation, and relieve soreness.
PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy) helps to aid the repair of soft tissue injuries and reducing inflammation for pain relief, and even the healing of fractures.
The body is made up of numerous tissue cells which all need energy to function. All living tissue energy is electromagnetic by nature and cells produce their own electromagnetic field. Damaged, fatigued or inefficient cells will have their metabolic processes impaired and a less effective electromagnetic field.
PEMF uses tiny electrical signals that stimulate the cells, with membrane channels opening up, allowing more nutrients into the cell and waste products out. Once enough cells are restored, they will work more efficiently.
